A money-making scheme involving golf balls has surfaced in Cobb County.
Deputies booked Martin Sequeira into the Cobb County jail on Wednesday.
He faces charges of racketeering and theft by shoplifting.
His arrest warrant accuses him of being part of a criminal organization that steals golf balls and resells them online.

“Oh, he was probably making a lot of money,” Benjamin Alas told Channel 2′s Courtney Francisco .
Shoppers like Alas said golf balls can run you $50 a dozen depending on the brand.
“It’s expensive for some little balls you’re going to lose anyway,” Alas said.
Investigators said Sequeira stole cartloads of golf balls from five different Target stores in Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, and Acworth in June and July of 2023.
According to the police report, Target informed police in August of that year after noticing the missing product and checking the surveillance camera video.
The warrant accuses Sequeira of taking the cart load through the self-checkout lane, paying for a small ticket item, and walking out with the rest.
