Suspect apprehended after three-hour hide and seek with K9 units, ‘scared his pants off’

MILTON, Florida ( MyFloridaNews ) — A suspect identified as Joshua Whelan was apprehended after a three-hour pursuit involving District 4 and K9 Units in East Milton. Whelan, who had a felony out-of-county warrant and was in violation of probation for possession of a weapon, was taken into custody and transported to the Santa Rosa County Detention Facility.The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Florida Highway Patrol and MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, conducted the operation. The Sheriff’s Office praised their K9 Team’s effectiveness in the pursuit. The incident occurred in the area of Miller Bluffs, and authorities thanked the public for their patience during the operation. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.”While we imagine being chased by our Deputies and K9 Units will scare the pants off anyone….
