MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man is dead and three others are injured after a car crash in Whitehaven early Friday morning.
According to reports, the three-vehicle crash happened around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of Winchester Road and Millbranch Road. Police say one of the vehicles was reported stolen.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Another man who was detained was also taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Officers say he was driving the stolen vehicle.
They all have since been downgraded to non-critical condition.
“There was debris all over the street,” said Kevin Armstrong. “This is a very very bad area, especially for accidents. There is nothing but speeding up and down this street.”
Armstrong says this is not his first time seeing the aftermath of a wreck at this intersection.
WREG has reported at least three wrecks on Winchester or Millbranch Rd less than two miles from this scene this year.
