JACKSON, Miss. ( WJTV ) – State Representative Charles Young, Jr., (D-District 82) has died.
“Elee and I are saddened to learn of Representative Charles Young, Jr.’s, passing. He was a dedicated public servant and dutifully served the people of the 82nd District. We are praying for his friends and family,” said Governor Tate Reeves (R-Miss.).
Young had served in the Mississippi Legislature since 2012. He was the vice-chair of the Corrections Committee. He also served on the Appropriations A, Ethics, Medicaid, Public Health and Human Services, and Universities and Colleges Committees.
