‘TooTurntTony’, Popular Social Media Star, Faces Federal Lawsuit Against the State of Florida

A social media star known for his spicy modeling, wildlife conservation advocacy, comedy skits, and social experiments involving his family members and domestic ducks is under fire for allegedly violating rules and regulations set in place by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) — now facing a lawsuit against the Sunshine State.

On December 17, 2024, Florida police came to the home of 29-year-old Anthony Dawson, better known by his online monikers ‘Too Turnt Tony‘ and ‘Duck Daddy,’ to serve him with a summons for a federal court hearing in connection with a video he posted of himself shark fishing on his social media pages.

According to documents filed with the Lee County Clerk of Court, Dawson is facing a second-degree misdemeanor charge for violating a rule, regulation, or order from the FWC; the rules in question pertain to Conservation Game Fish Rules, including Florida Statutes (FS) 379.401(2), FS 777.011, as well as Florida Administrative Code (FAC) 68B-44. Florida Statute 379.401(2) specifically pertains to the unlawful taking of wildlife, freshwater fish, or saltwater fish, or violations of set guidelines surrounding protected species.
