White-tailed deer decimating crops as Pa. Game Commission considers revamping tag program

A Pennsylvania Game Commission committee knows well the plight of farmers statewide who continue to lose acres of crops to grazing white-tailed deer. The commission’s Agricultural Deer Control program, known as both “Red Tag” and “AG Tag,” is a special hunting permit for deer control on agricultural land. The program allows farm operators to host hunters to harvest antlerless deer outside the regular hunting seasons.
