MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Good Saturday everyone! The cold front we had been tracking, has fully moved off the coast. That is allowing northwest flow to kick in this morning, and last throughout the day. We will see some gusty conditions from time to time. Temperatures today stay pretty chilly across the area. Highs along the coast, as well as the Pee Dee and border belt will reach the low 50s. Tonight will be cold area wide. Lows falling into the mid to upper 20s.
Sunday looks to be the coldest day of the upcoming week. The forecast area will start in the mid to upper 20s. Despite the sunshine, temperatures only warm into the mid 40s. It will be a true winter day across the area. A great day to stay inside, watch some football, and finish wrapping those Christmas gifts. Sunday night into Monday, lows will fall into the low to mid 20s area wide.
As we head into the week of Christmas expect to see mostly sunny skies Monday, and Tuesday. Highs will reach 50 degrees on Monday, warming into the mid to upper 50s on Christmas Eve. No precipitation expected so for those leaving town, or driving in, weather shouldn’t be an issue.
