FORRESTON, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Byron Tigers feel right at home at the Forreston Holiday Tournament. They won their third straight championship there Friday night by edging their Big Northern Conference rival Winnebago in the championship game 55-53.
Cason Newton sank a jumper from the wing with under four seconds to play for the winning basket. Newton scored 22 points to lead Byron. Kaden McGough scored 11 points. Winnebago was led by Brody Larson with 22 points.
