Boys and Girls Club gets grant to help with mission of serving kids

EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The Boys and Girls Club of El Paso has been impacting the lives of young people in the El Paso region for decades.

The organization, which provides a safe, educational and fun environment for local youth for after-school activities and during summer break, recently got a generous gift to help with its mission.

The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) awarded a $42,000 grant to the Boys and Girls Club of El Paso. The club was among 28 other U.S.-based non-profits to participate in the Casa Herbalife Program, a program that partners with community organizations to provide nutritious meals, educational resources and safe environments for children and underserved communities, according to a news release from the Herbalife Family Foundation.

Through its Casa Herbalife Program, HFF distributed $5 million this year to 164 nonprofit organizations across 59 countries and territories, the organization said.

The Casa Herbalife Program is made possible by the generosity and commitment of Herbalife’s independent distributors and employees, according to a news release sent to KTSM.
