Where I Live: Retired civil rights attorney finds a home in Fort Worth’s Oakmont Meadows

I moved away from Fort Worth in the fall of 1965, and did not return to reestablish residency here until the spring of 2009. When I retired from my work as a lawyer in deep East Texas, I came back to enjoy friends from junior high through college who were still around and to enjoy the amenities of the Kimbell Art Museum, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, Texas Christian University musical events, the city of Fort Worth’s Jazz Festival and year-long jazz at the Scat Jazz Lounge.
