SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A/R Customs and Collision held its first toy drive this year to spread the holiday spirit within the Syracuse community. But the idea for the drive was a last-minute thought by one of the owners.
“It was in the middle of a workday and I was like hey let’s do a toy drive, and that was it,” said shop owner Anthony Rendino.
He and the shop’s other owner, Robert Mabee, decided to put the drive together for the first time on Saturday. Kids gathered around tables full of toys set up in the auto shop’s garage.
