Bedford County Register of Deeds Johnny Reed was surprised at a registers’ meeting on Tuesday with the news that he has been named 2024 Middle Tennessee Outstanding Register of the Year by the Middle Tennessee Registers Association. The engraving on the acrylic trophy reads “Thank you for always going above and beyond for registers across the great State of Tennessee! You are always ready to help in any situation. Your wonderful prayers sustain us and your humor brightens our day! Your fellow Middle Tennessee registers appreciate your dedication and professionalism. This award is given by your peers in honor of your service….” Reed has also been named 2024-25 chaplain for the statewide Tennessee Registers Association.
