Driver Shot Dead After Texas Mall Crash Injures 5

On Saturday, a man drove his pickup truck through the glass doors of a J.C. Penney at the Killeen Mall in Texas, injuring at least five people. The driver was shot and killed by law enforcement.

The incident occurred in the evening, as authorities noticed the suspect driving erratically. Police attempted to pull him over, but he fled and drove to the mall.

The truck traveled several hundred yards inside the store, running over shoppers. Injuries ranged from minor to critical, with victims ranging in age from 6 to 75.

Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies engaged in a shootout with the suspect, fatally wounding him. The suspect has not been identified.

The incident is under investigation.
