Police: Woman burned to death on train car, cause unknown

A woman died after her body was found engulfed in flames in an F line train car Sunday morning in Coney Island, according to police. The woman was found at 7:30 a.m. on the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station. Police say they put out the fire shortly before she died from her injuries at the scene. The train was stationary on the platform at the time. The five and six flatform are roped off with police tape. Officers were on scene covering up the train car with a tarp. F trains are running with delays in both directions, according to the MTA. Police tell us no other passengers were hurt in the fire and the cause is unknown. ”
