Slow Warming Trend For Christmas Week, Christmas Day Mostly Dry!

It’s another cold start as we wake up mostly in the 20s this morning! We won’t see much of a warmup today as highs top out in the low to mid 50s. Overnight lows tonight will be back down in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Monday we start to warm slowly with highs in the mid 50s, with low 60s by Christmas Eve on Tuesday. Overnight lows will be near 40 under partly cloudy skies, so things are looking not as cold for Santa as he makes his stop here in the Chattahoochee Valley. Christmas Day we’ll again see low 60s under partly cloudy skies. A stray shower can’t be ruled out, but Christmas Day is looking mostly dry.

Thursday will be similar with just a stray shower possible and low to mid 60s for afternoon highs. Isolated showers will be possible Friday, with scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder or two on Saturday and Sunday. Highs over the weekend will be in the upper 60s to near 70°!

So, for Christmas week, we’re looking mostly dry until we get to the weekend, and that’s when we see our chances for rain go up. We’ll see some milder conditions too, with afternoon highs in the low 60s by Tuesday, and upper 60s by the weekend.
