As a native of Owensboro, Kentucky, I have always thought our town’s name was unique. Honestly, until a few years ago, I had no idea there was another Owensboro here in the United States. If my memory serves me correctly, I was typing my location into AccuWeather to get the forecast. Naturally, Owensboro, Kentucky popped up first. However, right below it was another Owensboro. Owensboro, Georgia! Who knew??
