The Kansas City Chiefs kept rolling with a 27-19 win over the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Field, which also marked the long-awaited return of Marquise Brown .
The receiver hadn’t played in the regular season due to injury, and he made his return against the Texans—and he didn’t skip a beat.
Many thought Brown would be on a pitch count, but the receiver settled into the groove rather quickly, grabbing five receptions for 45 yards in his first game as a Chief.
Having “Hollywood” back in the fold now gives the Chiefs even more firepower as they look to claim a historic three-peat, and for Andy Reid, Brown was feeling good on his return, so much so that he wanted more targets.
“The great thing about all those guys [receivers] is they all want to play, and we just have one ball,” Reid said in a post-game announcement that serves as a scouting report. “I was trying to explain that to them, they all want to go make the play and he’s like that, he loves playing. He knew he was doing well and wanted more. He was feeling well.”
