“It’s about the joyous occasion making sure some of our young people have a bicycle on Christmas Day and put a smile on their faces,” said Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones.

The bicycles were assigned to boys and girls by their age. The sheriff’s office partnered with Gray-Daniels Ford, Walmart and Cade Chapel to give away the bicycles.

“Where we live today, the times we live in, it’s just great to be able to give back and support our community who’s supported us over the years,” said Cliff Mitchell, the general manager of Gray-Daniels Ford Lincoln.

The sheriff’s office also hosted another bicycle giveaway in Raymond.
