Sandwich Showdown: Roast Beef Edition
I sampled roast beef sandwiches from Subway, Jimmy John’s, and Jersey Mike’s to determine the best one.
Subway: Fresh Produce, Bland Meat
Subway’s roast beef sandwich featured crisp lettuce and tomatoes, but the meat was underwhelming. Despite the generous portion, it lacked flavor.
Jimmy John’s: Stellar Bread, Lackluster Meat
Jimmy John’s Big John sandwich had incredible French bread, but the rest of the sub fell short. The roast beef was bland and needed more seasoning.
Jersey Mike’s: High-Quality Meat, Messy Assembly
Jersey Mike’s No. 6 sub had a thick layer of high-quality roast beef. However, the assembly was sloppy, with too much mayo and uneven distribution of ingredients.
The Ideal Sandwich: A Hybrid
Each sandwich had its strengths and weaknesses. If I could combine the generous meat from Jersey Mike’s, the fresh produce from Subway, and the amazing bread from Jimmy John’s, I would have the perfect roast beef sandwich.
