CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – A motorcyclist died after a collision with a car driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver Thursday night, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department. The crash occurred on the 3800 block of Saratoga Blvd., where officers responded to the scene at 9:25 p.m. The 30-year-old male motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died, police said. Officers identified the driver of the black passenger car involved in the crash as 23-year-old Katelyn Yeager, of Corpus Christi, Texas. Yeager was traveling eastbound on Saratoga Blvd. when she made a left turn in front of the westbound motorcycle, causing the collision and ejecting the motorcyclist, according to the police report. Officers determined Yeager was at fault and displayed signs of intoxication. Yeager was arrested for intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. During the arrest, she resisted and assaulted an officer, leading to additional charges of resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer. After being medically cleared at a local hospital, Yeager was transported to the City Detention Center for booking, police stated.
