The Tennessee Volunteers lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 42-17, on Saturday in the first round of the newly expanded College Football Playoff format.
Of course, it’s certainly not how they wanted to end the season, but now it’s time to move on and get ready to try and come out on top next year.
Unfortunately for the Volunteers, though, they’ve been hit with some negative news regarding the transfer portal just one day after that CFP loss.
In this case, it’s sophomore defensive back Christian Harrison who has announced he will be transferring out of Tennessee and looking for a new program.
In 2024, Harrison didn’t have much of a role on the defense and accumulated 20 total tackles. 0.5 sacks and 1 pass deflection, which could be a big reason for his decision to hit the portal.
Even in their loss to Ohio State, the only statistics he collected were two tackles.
Coming out of high school in Atlanta, 247Sports ranked him as a three-star prospect and the No. 108 cornerback in the class of 2022.
