SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. – A dazzling display of lights lit up the night sky at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. It’s all a part of the Nights of Lights, a walk-through Christmas attraction.
“We have a fourth of a mile walk-through lightshow,” Sharon Bice with the Nights of Lights said. “It’s a wonderful thing for families and children or a date night out. it’s a great opportunity to get out and be able to walk through instead of a drive through.”
In the dark there is a lot to see, this year the event features more than 200 light displays, a 65-foot-tall Christmas tree and even an appearance from beloved holiday characters.
“We have different light props, we have different foods, we have hot chocolate, we have apple cider, we have a petting zoo that has lots of different animals, we have carnival rides, and a big walk-in igloo,” Bice said.
For Meghan Gagnon, it was the perfect way to introduce her daughter to a family tradition, “I wanted to bring my little two and half year old, it’s her first Christmas where she understands it.”
