Police: Man arrested for narcotics distribution, 2nd time within months

DENVER (KDVR) — The Greeley Police Department SWAT team arrested a man for the second time in months on Nov. 7 for suspected distribution of narcotics and also found multiple firearms at a residence he’s associated with, some of which police suspect were stolen.

Jade Mikel Shane, 46, was arrested in October this year after a Weld County Drug Task Force investigation into a residence in the 3200 block of 11th Avenue in Evans.

Police served a search warrant at the residence two months before the October arrest, when officers found over a half pound of methamphetamine, counterfeit M-30 pills suspected of containing fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, and 12 firearms, including one stolen out of Greeley.

Shane was arrested that day, but bonded out of custody, according to the Greeley Police Department. It’s not his first interaction with the department: Shane was convicted of felony narcotic charges dating to 2013 and 2014 and served approximately seven years of a 14-year prison sentence.
