The Bergen County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center has found a new home for a dog that was hit by a car in October and was never reclaimed by an owner. On Oct. 13, Stella, a 1-year-old dachshund mix, was hit by a car on Route 4 in Hackensack. She was wearing a pink sweater. Stella was brought into Oradell Animal Hospital by a good Samaritan. The dog had multiple rib and pelvic fractures.
