Family displaced after Roanoke structure fire, no injuries reported

ROANOKE, Va. — Roanoke Fire/EMS crews were dispatched to the area of 22nd street and Lynn Avenue Saturday night for reports of a house fire.

Crews arrived on scene at 8:55 p.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the home but had the scene under control within an hour.

According to Roanoke Fire/EMS, there were no injuries and the family that was displaced is being helped by the American Red Cross.

A cause for the fire has not been determined.
