FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCBD) – Folly Beach will light the Menorah during a special celebration happening this weekend.
Community members are invited to Folly River Park on Saturday, Dec. 28 for the menorah lighting at 5 p.m., and a Chanukah celebration will follow across the street at Folly Beach Community Center.
“After prayers and songs led in the park by Rabbi Rosen, KKBE and Mayor Tim Goodwin speaking, the Kleztonians will be performing,” said event organizers.
Guests can enjoy hot latkes, jelly donuts, hot chocolate and coffee, and a gift giveaway for children and adults.
The Jewish holiday begins at sundown on December 25 and runs through January 2 this year.
