Can you give your child an alcohol in your own home in Massachusetts? What the laws say

What is the Massachusetts law about giving your kid a drink under 21

In Massachusetts, the legal age to drink is 21.

However, under Massachusetts general law there is a little wiggle room at home as their is an exception “for the children and grandchildren of the person being charged to possess alcoholic beverages on premises or property owned or controlled by the person charged.”

In other words, a parent or grandparent could offer alcohol to their child or grandchild on their property.
