Argentina’s Milei Vows Tax Overhaul

Additional Coverage:

Argentine President Javier Milei has pledged to slash the number of taxes in the country from over 90% to just six.

Milei’s cost-cutting measures have been praised by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who are tasked with reducing the size of the US federal government.

Milei has implemented sweeping cuts since taking office, firing tens of thousands of public employees and reducing state spending by 31%.

Milei has advised Musk and Ramaswamy to “go all the way” in cutting US federal spending, and Musk has expressed admiration for Milei’s efforts.
