Miami residents arrested in fentanyl and cocaine bust

MIAMI, Florida — Two Miami residents were arrested following a multiagency investigation into drug-related activities, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). Jameel Demestrice Florence, 46, and Royan Boclair, 63, face charges related to possession and intent to distribute narcotics.

In October, FDLE agents received information about a house in southwest Miami-Dade County being used for selling fentanyl. A search warrant was executed earlier this month with assistance from the Miami-Dade Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Florida Highway Patrol. Agents seized several grams of fentanyl, cocaine, other narcotics, and a firearm.

The FDLE Miami SAFE Task Force is leading the investigation, while the Office of the State Attorney, 11th Judicial Circuit, is prosecuting the case. Florence and Boclair were arrested on December 11 and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Detention Center. The investigation remains active.
