Final man of three suspects is now in Dallas County Jail for carjacking, wounding Dallas officer

The third and final man wanted for the carjacking and wounding of an undercover Dallas police officer is finally in the Dallas County jail.

21-year-old Redricous Lewis is under indictment for aggravated robbery. He is one of three Shreveport Louisiana men accused of carjacking and shooting an undercover officer who was parked near Bachman Lake last year.

Lewis has been serving time in Louisiana and was extradited back to Dallas County in the last week. Redtravion Polk, 17, and Xavier Cook, 18, were also arrested on charges of aggravated robbery. Tuesday, Polk was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty.

The officer was wounded in a gunfight and the men ditched the police car after realizing what they had done. Dallas Police Association President Jaime Castro says people are getting fed up with attacks on cops.

The third man, Xavier Cook is still in the Dallas County jail awaiting trial.
