Texas Border: Kids Keep Crossing Alone

Of all of the immigration accounts that tug at the heartstrings, none compare with the continued accounts of very young children illegally sent across the border between Mexico & Texas with very little information other than a name and US address to be presented to Texas State & US Federal authorities when they meet a law enforcement officer north of the Rio Grande.

The most recent example comes via a December 20, 2024 x.com post by Texas Department of Public (DPS) Safety Public Information Officer Lt. Chris Olivarez who shared a photo of an 11-year-old-boy who showed officers in Eagle Pass a note about a family contact in Kansas:

Scenarios like this have played out along the Rio Grande in Texas for months now.
