Battle Ground family’s blow-mold collection hghlights the decor of Christmas past

The Hernandez Alonso family, located south of Battle Ground, first began their outdoor Christmas display in 2015 with inflatables. They said, little by little, each year they started changing out their inflatables for blow-mold decorations.

Blow molds first became popular in the 1960s. They said the search for blow molds ranged from antique stores, marketplaces, garage sales and new ones that can be found in stores today.

They said, as a Mexican family, they like to celebrate this time of year by filling their home and lives with light.
