Since many stores will be closed for Christmas , there’s no better time to keep your holiday celebration going by viewing some of the best Christmas light displays in Ohio.
The Buckeye State has its own version of the Griswold Christmas lights immortalized in “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation,” but hopefully it doesn’t also nearly cause a power outage in the neighborhood .
It’s a beaut, Clark, and it’s one of dozens if not hundreds of impressive Christmas light displays around the Buckeye State. So if you’re looking for a bit more Christmas spirit before and after the big day, here’s how to find some of the best.
Ohio offers Holiday Lights Trail, complete with a map
TourismOhio, the state’s tourism agency, is promoting 73 stops around the state as part of its 2024 Ohio Holiday Lights Trail .
Broken down by regions of the state, the lights trail highlights lighting ceremonies and public displays and events. Among the events are displays at various zoos around the state, ( the Akron Zoo , the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium , the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens ), excursions like the North Pole Express put on by Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation Inc. and the North Pole Adventure from the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, as well as light shows at county fairgrounds and more.
