When “Iconic” FL Eatery Shuckers Closed, Patrons Were Sad. But Reviews For Its Replacement Are Good

Floridians and tourists alike know that there are some places in Florida where both the tourists and the locals flock. Either the food, the atmosphere, or both, are so good that everyone comes. One of these places, Shuckers, recently closed. And some Floridians were unhappy about this. But Shuckers’ replacement, Palm Tree Club Miami, is getting very good reviews.

About Shuckers’ Closure And The Unhappiness Of Some: Shuckers’ website calls it “iconic,” and some patrons seem to agree. Located on the island of North Bay Village, Shuckers offered gorgeous views and festive foods.

Miami Beach patrons and visitors have reviewed Shuckers over 5,300 times and many praised its atmosphere and food.

So when it was announced that Shuckers would close in July of 2024 and be replaced with an upscale hotel and eatery, some were unhappy. In an Instagram post by the Miami New Times, a poster named Davey wrote:

“Can we not just have chill spots anymore? Shuckers is an institution. Big loss.”

The New Eatery Is Getting Excellent Reviews: Palm Tree Club Miami opened in late December of 2024, and reviews are quite encouraging. Although the average review is technically 4.3, it is somewhat skewed because of one review that thought the restaurant was open but gave it only one star when it was closed. Most other reviews were five stars.
