Loyce E. Harpe Park to reopen after being closed since Milton

BARTOW, Fla. (WFLA) — Loyce E. Harpe Park will reopen on Jan. 4, with limited hours after being closed since Hurricane Milton.

The park will open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The facilities that will reopen are:

  • The dog park
  • Skate park
  • Mountain bike trails
  • Fishing areas
  • Athletic fields

Due to trucks and traffic going through the park frequently, the park will remain closed on weekdays.

According to Polk County Communications, the park will be closed on weekdays as it continues to be used as a post-storm debris management site.
