Two people from Minneapolis were arrested after an apparent organized attempt to steal goods from a Best Buy store in Rochester.
Rochester PD says it received a report on Sunday of a “group of people working together to conceal and steal items from Best Buy” at 4050 Hwy. 52 N.
Officers later found a vehicle matching the description of that reportedly involved, and found six stolen iPads and two stolen PlayStation 5 consoles at a gas station in northwest Rochester.
A 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Minneapolis, were arrested and are now facing multiple shoplifting charges.
It’s unclear from the police statement how many more suspects were involved in the theft.
