In St. Pete, Damn Skippy helps Little Stranger kick off two-nights of alt-hip hop

As excited as we are for a two-night headlining stint from Little Stranger—self-described as “hip-hop Simon and Garfunkel”—no one is more excited than

Alex Veazey, whose hip-hop project Damn Skippy

opens night one.

He recently took to social media to present his one-of-a-kind “BuzzBall Christmas tree for Jannus Live,” just to pass out seconds later, and while the red and green balls of happy sauce are either back in the fridge or resting in the recycling bin, Veazey will most likely plug a new album

The Kickflip

, which modernizes the record scratches and clarity of pre-Soundcloud, ‘90s hip-hop while completely turning a blind eye to the newer trap movement.

Tickets to see Little Stranger play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Friday-Saturday, Dec. 27-28 are still available for $30.
