Police respond to armed robbery at Chesapeake Popeyes

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The Chesapeake Police Department responded to an armed burglary at a Popeyes on Christmas Eve.

According to officials, just after 10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Popeyes located in the 4300 block of Indian River road for reports of a business being robbed by two armed subjects.

Police said the suspects left before officers arrived to the scene.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been provided.
