The addition of Landry Shamet has appeared to finally solve some of the New York Knicks’ biggest questions surrounding the depth of their team.
With three quality guards who can score from anywhere on the court, the Knicks have plenty of offensive capabilities on their roster.
That doesn’t mean the team is a true title contender yet, though.
There’s one final move New York needs to make to put them over the hump in true competition for the defending champion Boston Celtics.
They need to figure out what to do about Mitchell Robinson.
New York’s top defensive center has been rehabbing his foot injury that has kept him out for most of the last two seasons. If Robinson can return to full strength relatively soon, it will give the Knicks a top backup center behind Karl-Anthony Towns to make life miserable for opposing teams.
