NAPERVILLE, Ill. — A Naperville woman died Monday night following a crash.
Just before 9 p.m., authorities responded to the 1400 block of Auburn Avenue on the report of a vehicle fire.
After the fire was extinguished, authorities determined a person was inside the Toyota Rav 4.
Amanda Baratka, 38, of Naperville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe Baratka was traveling southbound on Wehrli Drive when her vehicle left the roadway and struck two light poles.
It came to rest in a residential driveway where the vehicle caught fire. A young family member was also inside at the time of the crash but managed to escape and appeared uninjured.
