Deadbeat dad arrested while exiting cruise ship after 10 years on the run: Prosecutor

A Kentucky man accused of dodging child support for a decade was arrested after getting off a cruise ship in Miami.

Dominic Weaver, 47, was allegedly on the run for 10 years after racking up six figures in child support payments. According to Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell, he has paid “not one cent” and fled his jurisdiction — before he was found by detectives from the county’s Child Support Division. With the assistance of Miami police, Weaver was located and arrested as he left a cruise ship that docked in the Sunshine State, marking the end of his holiday vacation.
