PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — The Salem Police Department is investigating the death of a 63-year-old man after he was found dead in the road in West Salem on Monday night.
In a press release, police said they are investigating the case as a “possible hit-and-run.”

At around 8:30 p.m., police responded to a call of an injured man found in the road near Murlark Avenue and Edgewater Street Northwest.
When paramedics arrived at the scene, the man was pronounced dead, officials said.
The investigation closed down the intersection for several hours Monday night.
