A portion of Calle Real was shut down near Santa Barbara Tuesday afternoon after a garbage truck caught on fire. Santa Barbara County firefighters were dispatched shortly after 2:30 p.m. to the incident on Calle Real just west of El Sueno Road, near the road up to the transfer station, according to fire Capt. Scott Safechuck.
