Kitten adopted in time for Christmas

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A kitten who had to be given up by its family found a forever home when it was love at first sight, according to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR).

HSPPR said Charlie, the cutest little kitten found herself all alone after her family, overwhelmed and heartbroken, could no longer care for her. Charlie, however, who was too small to fend for herself, was picked up by Animal Law Enforcement and brought to the shelter.

There Charlie met Officer Chamen, and when they locked eyes it was love at first sight. Charlie couldn’t be adopted quite yet and needed to go to a foster home. Charlie and Officer Chamen were forced apart for a month.

What Charlie didn’t know was that Officer Chamen wasn’t just waiting, she had already placed a choice hold on her, ensuring they’d be together. The week before Christmas, Officer Chamen and Charlie were reunited and Charlie was officially adopted.
