Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a few showers/sprinkles as the upper-level wave moves east of Alabama. An area of high pressure northeast of Alabama will bring east-to-southeast winds across the state making it mild and sending a dry air wedge in from the east. Highs will climb into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Another upper-level wave will move across Central Alabama on Friday bringing us another round of scattered showers throughout the day. High temperatures will be in the lower 60s.
The weather for the Birmingham Bowl at 2:30 PM will be cloudy with scattered showers. Kickoff temperatures will be in the lower 60s.
Weekend Outlook : The weather pattern will continue to be active into the weekend. Saturday will have scattered showers and a few thunderstorms ahead of a cold front. A few storms could be strong with gusty winds and heavy rain. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 60s.
