GREENE COUNTY, Miss, (WJTV) – The Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) is searching for a convicted killer who escaped from a Greene County prison Tuesday afternoon.
The MDOC inmate, 33-year-old Drew Johnson, is a white male with blond hair and blue eyes. Johnson is six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He is serving a life sentence for a Rankin County murder. Johnson, sentenced in February 2022, escaped from the South Mississippi Correctional Institution in Leakesville.
Christmas Day: These retail stores are open
Anyone who sees Johnson should contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
