Christmas is over — at least the actual date — but don’t let that stop you from being in the spirit all year long. It’s like the old song that says: “So may I suggest, the secret of Christmas / Is not the things you do at Christmas time / But the Christmas things you do all year through.”
In the days following the holiday, some of you will be out using presents that you received, and others will enjoy watching others using the gifts you got for them.
Just remember: The best gift is just spending cherished time with family and friends and sharing the gift of time.
I kind of knew what was under the tree for me, as I dropped enough hints the last half of the year — looking through magazines and brochures about some rods and reels I’ve wanted for a long time, visiting Cabella’s and Bass Pro Shops, slowly strolling through the aisles as my wife looked through the clothing section. I knew she was watching out the corner of her eye as to what I was gazing at.
