Helping the community at Christmas

On Dec. 18, David Trowbridge of Warrenton and Terry Goodall of Tennessee delivered 1,116 pounds of venison donated by area hunting clubs and private hunters to Loaves & Fishes Ministries, Inc. food pantry. Processing of the meat was paid for by North Carolina Hunters for the Hungry, Inc., a nonprofit organization. The donation was the third of the year made possible through this collaborative effort, bringing the total to 3,536 pounds of meat contributed this year to the local food pantry. Local hunters who would like to donate deer to help others may contact Pearce’s Custom Processing, LLC, in Louisburg.
