Tragedy struck just days before Christmas when a 12-year-old boy was fatally shot at the James Park Apartments in what appears to be an accidental shooting. According to a press release from the St. Petersburg Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Monday where they discovered Jeremiah D. Nelson with a gunshot wound.
