Life just got a little tougher for some Lubbock residents, and for some who wish to be. It may have slipped your radar but back in October the City Of Lubbock took steps to implement a new water deposit program. This program would require some people asking for new service to pony up $150, or $550 for businesses (or anything that is “non-residential”. Also, if there’s a disconnect, you may be asked to pay that amount to continue service (other fees may apply as well).
